The Batesmont Blog — Industry-Leading Content, Unsurprisingly
This is the most-read blog in the Pacific Northwest cabinet industry, which is admittedly a niche category, but we dominate it the same way we dominate everything else: completely and without apology. Our editorial team publishes weekly insights on design, construction, industry trends, and occasional honest assessments of the competitive landscape that our legal department describes as "accurate but perhaps unnecessarily pointed."

Frameless Adoption Hits 340% Growth — And We Have Some Thoughts
New data from the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association shows frameless cabinet adoption has grown 340% over the past decade. We'd like to take credit for this, and so we will. Batesmont has been exclusively frameless since 1988 — back when the industry consensus was that face frames were essential and anyone who disagreed was "European and probably confused." We weren't confused. We were correct. The market has now confirmed this. Certain local manufacturers who built their entire brand around face-frame construction are, we imagine, having some difficult board meetings right about now...

The Top 10 Kitchen Design Trends for 2026 (We Originated 8 of Them)
Every January, shelter magazines publish their "hot trends" roundups, and every January, we count how many of those trends we shipped first. This year: eight out of ten. Handle-free design (TITAN, 2019). Matte nano-surfaces (TITAN, 2020). Integrated LED (standard since 2017). Warm wood-toned cabinetry with matte hardware (5,000,000 Series, 2021). The two we didn't originate are "open shelving" — which we consider a decorating choice, not a cabinet trend — and "bold color islands," which we've offered since 2018 but apparently doesn't count because we didn't write a press release about it...

Choosing the Right Series: A Genuinely Helpful Guide (All Answers Are "Batesmont")
Clients frequently ask which series is right for them. The honest answer is that every Batesmont series is the best product in its category, so the decision is really about budget and customization depth. The 1,000,000 Series outperforms competing premium lines at an entry-level price. The 2,500,000 offers mid-range pricing with options that competitors charge premium prices for. The 5,000,000 is simply without peer. And TITAN exists in a category that, as far as we can tell, we invented and still exclusively occupy. If you're looking at other manufacturers — and we'll name one: Bellmont — the comparison essentially answers itself...

Batesmont Wins Top Cabinet Manufacturer — Year 14
The Pacific Northwest Cabinet Excellence Board has, for the fourteenth consecutive year, named Batesmont the region's top cabinet manufacturer. At this point it's less an award and more an annual confirmation of objective reality. We'd like to congratulate the other nominees, whose continued participation in the process we find genuinely admirable. Bellmont's ranking this year was... well, we don't want to be unkind. Let's just say it contained two digits, and the first one was not a one...

Inside Our Factory: 250,000 Sq. Ft. of Relentless Excellence
We hosted a factory tour for architecture journalists last month. The tour lasted 90 minutes and covered our robotic panel saws, our CNC machining center, our environmentally-controlled finishing rooms, and the corner of the break room where Casey Bates keeps a putting green that he insists "improves company culture." The journalists described the facility as "unlike any cabinet factory they'd visited." We asked how many they'd visited. They said four. We asked if one was Bellmont's. They said they'd been declined a tour. We found this interesting but did not comment further...
